I am Katie Levinthal and I am twelve years old. I live in Park City, Utah and I have one brother, two dogs and a cat. I am a young artist at the Kimball Art Center. What made me interested in art is the way it helps me to get my feelings out and express myself. But, what interested me the most about art is the way it speaks about the artist and that any where you go art will always be there.

I will always love art. I was seven-years-old when I knew I wanted art in my life. I figured it out by my love of painting. My dad and I used to paint every weekend outside. He taught me almost all I know.

I don’t want to be a famous artist, but I always want to carry on my love of art no matter what I do as a career. Right now I am focused on school and the Young Artists’ Academy. The Young Artists’ Academy means a lot to me. It means so much to me because I get a chance to do one of my favorite thing in the world – art. I have met so many nice people in the Academy.

I have one art goal and that is to work my hardest at art and have fun doing it.
