I couldn’t exactly give you a precise reason I became interested in the arts, for I always have been intrigued. For as long as I can remember I have been drawing and coloring and creating little works of art. I think my turning point, however, was in my seventh grade year, which made art my positive passion. That was when I really started developing my style and love of drawing. What sparked it? Who knows, but from that point in my life up until now I have continued to develop my style and interest.

I was online one day and came across a British artist by the name of Brianne Tweddle. She was seventeen when I discovered her talent and seeing how far she had come at only seventeen, it inspired me to become as good as her. Once I started drawing things similar to the style of her paintings I fell in love with the idea of becoming an artist.

To me, the Young Artists’ Academy is a way for all artists to come together and express their love for art. I feel it is a way for artists of all styles to explore new media and show to the community how art can promote positive thinking and feeling.

My biggest goal at the moment is to get into the San Francisco Art Institute. As of right now I am looking at going to college and from there putting my work into galleries. If I could reach the highest goal imaginable in my mind, it would be to have my art in galleries across the West Coast if not further. I realize this could seem farfetched. However, I might as well have high expectations of myself if I’m going to get anywhere at all.
