Unless otherwise noted, courses and workshops are limited to 10 students. Only those who have paid registration fees will be permitted to attend workshops and courses. Prompt registration reduces the possibility that a course might be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment.
Occasionally the Kimball Art Center may find it necessary to cancel a course or workshop due to low enrollment or other scheduling conflicts. All classes require a minimum of four students unless otherwise noted. Class enrollment will be assessed four days prior to a class beginning. If cancellation is necessary, registered students will be contacted and allowed to transfer to another course or will be refunded the full course tuition and any additional fees.
Students receive a full refund if a written request to withdraw is received by the Kimball Art Center no later than seven days prior to the first day of class. Please email your request to withdraw to education@kimball-art.org. Requests to withdraw from a course less than seven days prior to the first class session will receive a 50% tuition refund. Students who withdraw on or after the first class day will not be eligible for tuition refunds or class credit. The Kimball Art Center reserves the right to accept or deny enrollment in any class, lecture or workshop by any applicant.
Class Credit
If a student chooses to cancel a class or workshop after the refund period (seven days prior to the first day of the class or workshop), the Kimball issues a class credit and reduces compensation by 50%. Class credits are only used toward class fees at the Kimball Art Center. They cannot be used toward materials fees or any other purchases of goods at the Kimball Art Center. All class credits expire a year from the date they are issued. Class credits are not issued for students who cancel on or after the first day of class.
If you have questions about classes or workshops, please contact the Kimball’s Education Director Jenny Diersen at education@kimball-art.org or call 435.649.8882 extension 112.
Please check the class schedule page for up-to-date information, registration deadlines and full classes. Students who register for a class after it is full will be placed on a waiting list.
