The ceramics studio is for anyone who wants to have fun creating and playing in the mud. Members and students ranging in age from one and a half and older can use the space to create unique pottery and clay sculptures. The studio offers eight electric pottery wheels, two kick wheels, two hand building tables and a green-ware room. The Kimball also provides community tools, such as bats, sponges, buckets, needle, carving and shaping tools. Personal tools and clay ($12 per 25 pound bag) may be purchased from the Studio 6 Supply Store. The Kimball Art Center provides its members with a variety of cone 10 and 6 glazes as well as colored slips. Members pay a small  firing fee for bisque and glaze firings. Bisque, Cone 6 and Cone 10 firings are scheduled each month. Some storage shelving is available.  The Kimball Art Center offers clay classes, workshops and private lessons each semester.
