In 2001, after graduating from St. Michaels College in Northern Vermont with a B.A. in English literature, I decided to do what all English literature graduates do, something completely different. Growing up skiing on the east coast and the urge to leave the bitter cold that defines Vermont led me to move out west. My final destination was Park City, Utah. After moving to Park City in 2002, I was fortunate enough to become employed with Park City Powder Cats, a backcountry snowcat skiing company. I started taking reservations for customers and eventually became PCCATS full time photographer. I continued pursuing my passion for photography and in the summer of 2007, I graduated from Rocky Mountain School of Photography in Missoula Montana. I now currently work as a full time photographer in the Park City area. I am very appreciative that my passion for photography became my full time profession. Teaching at the Kimball Art Center is a wonderful opportunity for me to share my love and expertise in the fundamentals of photography. Watching people grow and create art that they love is empowering and very fulfilling.
