<p> This class builds up fabrication skills while introducing techniques and design considerations. Students of all abilities are welcome. Beginning students work on learning basic skills of sawing, forming and designing their pendants. Intermediate to advanced students work on more complex hollow form fabrication projects, furthering fabrication skills, craftsmanship and design abilities. Project and demonstrations include dapping, soldering, hollow forming and integrative design. Class is limited to 8 students. Register at least 5 days in advance to reserve your space in class.</p>

This is a great way to see what your child is interested in. There is no instructor in the classroom, but children ages 1.5 to 5 are welcome to come and experiment and play with a parent or guardian who is 18 or older. Space is limited to eight.&nbsp;Each open studio is two hours long. Students can stay as long as they would like to play! Students must register at least one day in advance. <!--EndFragment--></p>

Students learn to cut, drill, etch, make cold connections (rivets), create patinas and file metal. <div> Learn to create wooden sculptural mobiles with Peter Behn and learn about sculptures by Alexander Calder. Students view examples of several mobiles and discuss the basic rules of building on the first day of class. &nbsp;With provided materials, students build a simple mobile that balances, swings and is aesthetically pleasing. For the second session, students build mobiles using found objects brought from home to get comfortable with the mechanics of constructing mobiles, attachment methods and using your individual creative talents. &nbsp;Before the end of the evening, we will each design on paper a mobile reflecting the influences of Alexander Calder. &nbsp;During the final sessions, students will build the mobile they designed with paper in week two, using 1/8 inch plywood, scrap wood and wire. At the end of the class, students discuss each other&rsquo;s work, looking for inspiration and planning future projects on their own. In addition to class studies, students will be given a list of websites for inspiration.&nbsp;Students are responsible for providing some of their own materials from home and a list will be given during the first class.&nbsp;Space is limited to six students.&nbsp;Students must register no later than seven days in advance.</div>

<div> In this class, learn how to use everyday, found objects and mixed media to create sculptures. Students will be able to use things from around the house including keepsakes, garage sale finds and more. Some art materials will need to be purchased, while others will be found. Students will discuss where to find objects, safety and assemblage techniques and will create a finished sculpture. Space is limited to eight students.</div>

<div> Students learn about in-camera control.&nbsp;Explore both automatic and manual settings and their corresponding functions.&nbsp;Each day students show photographs on a projector and then discuss new techniques. Students go out and take photos around Main Street with the instructor during class exploring downtown, City Park and our beautiful city. This is a great way to have students learn to take awesome summer photos. Space is limited. <span>Register at least four days in advance to reserve your space in class. </span></div>

<div> Drop off your kids for some extra fun at these open studios or to make up a missed class. Parents can stay or drop kids off. Kids 5 &ndash; 10 can learn about various art media. Each time we explore many types of arts and crafts, from exploring painting and drawing to clay hand building in the pottery studio. Students must register at least four days in advance. Each class is $5 for members and $10 for non-members.</div>
