The Kimball Art Center offers art classes for students of any age. Whatever your experience or skill level we have classes to accommodate you. Take a class at the Kimball and enter a world of art!
Little Picassos (ages 2 – 3)
Bring your little ones to the Kimball Art Center to meet and make friends while experimenting with color, texture, and various art media. The focus in these classes is for children to explore art, not on a finished product. A parent or guardian must accompany their Little Picassos in the class. Space is limited. Registration deadline is 4 days prior to the first day of class.
Tots (Ages 4 – 5)
Tots’ classes are offered for children ages 4 – 5 and classes introduce students to a simple classroom setting with a quick introduction and directions in the beginning of each class. Classes are offered to help children develop their fine motor skills and experiment with color, texture and patterns while building their imagination. The focus of these classes is to start children with instructions and see what they can make with a little parental and instructor guidance. A parent or guardian must accompany their Tots in the class. Register today, space is limited to 10 students. Registration deadline is 4 days prior to the first day of class.
Kids (ages 6 – 10)
Kids’ classes are offered for children between the ages of 6 – 10. Get creative and cool off in the Kimball Art Studios this summer with classes ranging from painting to jewelry making. Students learn new techniques in each class.
Tweens and Teens (ages 11 – 17)
Teen classes are for students who want to explore and excel in the arts. In each teen class, the instructor works with students to achieve more advanced projects. Students learn skills and techniques that they can take with them after the class has ended. Teen classes are for students who are 11 – 17 years old.
Family Classes (all ages)
Family Classes are for students of all ages. Tots (ages 3-4) are welcome to participate with an accompanying adult. Students of all ages (Kids, Tweens, Teens, and Adults) are welcome to participate in these classes. They are cross- generational classes and are a great way to spend quality time with your family or friends. In each class, students work individually as well as collaboratively.
Adult Classes (18 +)
Adult Classes are offered over the course of 4– 6 weeks and are slower paced (less intense) than workshops. Classes are great for beginning to advanced level students. The Kimball Art Center offers a wide variety of both classes and workshops for the busy adult schedule, during evenings and day time hours. There is always an artistic adventure awaiting you at the Kimball from pottery, painting and photography, to stained glass and silver jewelry. Register today, space is limited and classes fill quickly.
Adult Workshops
Workshops at the Kimball Art Center can extend from one day to one week and are offered at variety of times and days through out the summer. Students learn different techniques quickly and can take other classes to revisit areas that need to be studied. Workshops move at a faster pace, and students of all ability levels are welcome participate. Get creative this summer and take a workshop!
