Maike Wells, an eighth grader, just completed her first year as a member of the Kimball’s Young Artists’ Academy. On her door, La Puerta de Miró, she applied her painting skills to mimic surrealist Joan Miró. Wells was drawn to Miró because of his unique approach and influence.
