Ken Auster was born in Los Angeles, CA and graduated from California State University in Long Beach, CA. He has received several awards in juried exhibitions and exhibited his work throughout the West. Auster is a signature member of the California Art Club in Pasadena, CA, the Laguna Plein-Air Painters Association in Laguna Beach, CA, the Oil Painters of America in Park Ridge, IL, and the Plein-Air Painter of America in Santa Fe, NM. His work is included in numerous public and private collections.
