jeff Juhlin
Jeff Juhlin is best known for his recent work that involves contrasting the deep space of western sky and the large open expanse of the terrain in the western great basin area where he lives, into what he calls “Grounded Abstraction.” Juhlin has been working with the encaustic medium for the past nine years. He recently completed a Residency/Fellowship at the Virginia Center for Creative Arts, and has recently been awarded a Residency/Fellowship at Moulin a’Nef in Auvillar, France. Juhlin has been included in numerous national exhibitions. Born in Salt Lake City, he studied at the University of Utah and holds a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute.
