The Badami Gallery, located on the Kimball’s lower level, features up and coming local artists in an intimate setting. With over 600 square feet of open floor space, the gallery can accommodate 75-100 people.

Curtis Olson: New Works

Curtis Olson’s artwork is a reflection of his interest in the land and buildings of the isolated splendor of the western landscape. His abstracted landscapes create a distinct feeling of place – with the colors, textures and photography working together to create work at once vibrant and nostalgic.
Curtis Olson will be the featured artist at the Gallery Stroll on Friday, November 25 from 6-9 p.m.
The Kimball Art Center Members’ Pin Up Show is a non-juried exhibition and sale. It is a collection of Kimball Art Center Members' art work including, encaustic, sculpture, painting, drawing and photography. The show is in the Badami Gallery from October 1 - November 13.
In DiachronicScapes, Peter Walker explores the dynamic relationship between people and place. Through compressing discrete layers of mixed media, he uncovers the interaction of geography, culture and ideas over time. His work reflects how a place changes a people, and in turn, the people change the landscape. Peter Walker will be the featured artist at the Gallery Stroll on Friday, May 27 from 6-9 p.m.
The annual Wasatch Back Student Art Show showcases work by student artists in Summit and Wasatch county schools, grades K-12. This year’s show will feature artwork that incorporates found, recycled and repurposed objects. Opening Reception Saturday, April 16 from 12-2 p.m. Gallery Stroll featuring work by Wasatch Back Student Artists Friday, April 29 from 6-9 p.m.
Rebecca Jacoby’s latest series, The Visitors, is about personal histories, the present moment and anticipated future. In larger-than-life paintings, Jacoby captures the poetic voices of visitors to her studio in fable-like narratives and symbolic images. This fanciful group of figures and expressions are a visual parade route of spontaneity, spirituality, joy and humanity.
Seattle based artist Amy Pruzan’s work combines glass, metal and photography. Her photographic images are both literal and metaphorical representations of memory. The glass elements of her pieces function as lenses through which memories are reflected or distorted, addressing questions of what happens to one’s memories over the passage of time.
