New Rain Art - Works by Sibylle Szaggars Redford

About the Artist: Sibylle Szaggars Redford

Sibylle Szaggars Redford is a German born Multimedia Environmental Artist who has dedicated her life’s work to creating art professionally, informed by her spiritual consciousness of our connection to life, the land and the world by raising the awareness of our environmentally un-sound practices. Sibylle focuses on art created with the environment, whether from ancient desert cultures such as the Hopi and Moroccan or the elements of Rain and Watercolor. She has exhibited her work throughout England, Germany, Italy, Monaco, Peru, Singapore, Japan and the United States and often collaborates with various musicians and choreographers. Her Shape of Color series was a collaboration with world renowned cellist Nina Kotova at the International Music Festival in Cortona, Italy and Singapore. In 2010, Sibylle commissioned Icelandic composer / musician David Thor Jonsson to score music to her Rain Painting art film and again in 2013 they collaborated creating the concept for The Way of the Rain as an homage to our planet and its universal elements. The Way of the Rain: Miami is Sibylle’s 2013 concept made site specific to Miami with a collaboration of different composers, musicians and choreography.
